Community Cooking Group $65 + gst
Saturday June 2nd, 9am-1pm
Community Cooking is when people come together to prepare nutritious and delicious meals on a budget. Lead by a Community Cooking Leader, this group meets the first Saturday of every month (with the exception of July & August).

A community cooking group can make several meals in one session that can then be taken home to freeze for future use! Cooking together has many benefits, it helps to reduce the costs of purchasing groceries, allows us to connect with like minded individuals and most importantly eat healthier and more nutritious meals more often.

Each participant will take home four servings of each dish.

Minestrone Soup
A hearty soup containing spicy Itlaian sauasge as well as onions, garlic, celery, carrot, green pepper and seasoned with parsely, basil, thyme. The base is chicken stock and chopped tomatoes. It also contains cabbage, kidney beans and elbow macaroni.

Shepard's Pie
a mixture of ground beef, onion, garlic, beef stock and carrots seasoned with thyme savoury and Worcestershire sauce and topped with fluffy mashed potatoes.

Chicken Tetrazzini
Tender chunks of chicken, multi-coloured peppers and muchrooms simmered in a white wine sauce and served over penned pasta topped with chedar and parmesan cheese.
